I noticed a difference after just a few days. I still experienced some nausea while taking GutClear®, but it disappeared after the final dose on day ten. Since then, my stomach has been much calmer.
After years of digestive symptoms, including diarrhea, nausea, bloating, and food intolerance, Selma began looking for possible explanations beyond routine medical tests.
In this personal story, Selma shares her personal experience of discovering SIBO, how she discovered GutClear®, what her experience was like during the 10-day program, and how her digestive symptoms changed over time. This is one individual’s story and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of results.
Hello,
My name is Selma, I am 25 years old and work as a dental nurse in Lund. My stomach problems started 3 years ago after a hugely stressful period at work and socially. The symptoms from the stomach were several daily episodes of diarrhea, nausea, tension and sudden food intolerance. I was particularly sick from fish, especially salmon which was my favorite food.

Many, many times I have thought “If this is how my life is going to be, is it even worth living?” I sought help at the health center, saw various doctors and submitted a number of blood samples, had a colonoscopy, gastroscopy and ultrasound to rule out diseases such as ulcerative colitis, gallstones, etc. without finding any cause for my problems. I tried Egazil, which is a medicine for cramping and pain in the gastrointestinal tract but this did not help at all.
Before trying GutClear®, Selma describes experiencing several digestive symptoms that affected her daily life:
She explains that salmon had previously been one of her favorite foods but eventually became one of the foods she reacted to most strongly.
After speaking with a colleague and completing a gut microbiome analysis, Selma learned that bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine (SIBO) could be one possible explanation for her ongoing digestive symptoms.
Because digestive symptoms can have many different causes, SIBO is only one of several conditions that may be considered when symptoms persist. A healthcare professional should always evaluate ongoing digestive problems.
According to her own account:
“I noticed a difference after just a few days. I still experienced some nausea while taking GutClear®, but it disappeared after the final dose on day ten. Since then, my stomach has been much calmer.”
She also explains that she gradually reintroduced fish into her diet and was happy to be able to eat salmon again without experiencing the same symptoms as before.
Some people with SIBO report increased sensitivity to certain foods. However, food intolerance can have many different causes, and digestive symptoms should always be evaluated individually.
Long-term stress may influence gut motility and digestive function. Research suggests that stress can be one of several factors associated with digestive symptoms and conditions such as SIBO in some individuals.
No. Every person’s digestive health journey is different.
Factors such as underlying causes, diet, lifestyle, medical history, and individual biology may influence outcomes.
